Joe Bates currently serves as Vice President – Agribusiness Banking and brings his 40 years of Ag Lending experience to Heartland Bank clients. He especially enjoys helping family farm operations reach their financial goals. Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
Away from the office, Joe remains active in the community having served as the Treasurer of Princeton Youth Football since 2006. He has also coached girls’ softball at Princeton High School, Logan Junior High School, and for travel teams for over 15 years. Joe has also previously served as president of the Princeton Public Schools Foundation and currently holds multiple leadership positions in his church.
Joe and his wife, Jody, live in Princeton and are the parents of 3 children, ages 20 – 27. When not watching their youngest play college volleyball and softball, Joe enjoys working in his yard at home, at the local softball field, and at the church.
