Bio

Michael Wemple, Vice President, Wealth Advisor and Northern Region Wealth Management Team Leader has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry having held positions at both investment firms and banks. He served as a Financial Advisor with American Midwest Bank (formerly The American National Bank of DeKalb County/America United Bank and Trust Company) for 5 years, covering all the bank’s branches, prior to the 2016 acquisition by HBT Financial, the holding company for Heartland Bank and Trust Company. Michael works with clients to provide them with a comprehensive wealth management strategy which includes managed investment accounts, financial planning, and trust administration. In addition, he works with charitable organizations to provide them with investment management solutions for their endowment assets.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University, where he majored in Finance and minored in Economics. He currently holds the Series 7, 52, 63, 65 and 24 securities registrations as well as his Life/Health insurance licenses. He was granted the designation of Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) by the American Bankers Association in October of 2023.

In the community, Michael served as a member of the Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital Philanthropic Advisory Council. He has volunteered his time to educate local high school students in DeKalb County through the Kishwaukee Education Consortium’s Senior Leadership Business Academy course. He has also assisted in delivering meals to the homebound for the Voluntary Action Center’s Meals on Wheels Program and participates in various local not-for-profits’ fund raising efforts.
