As Market Leader for Heartland Bank’s northern region, Landon oversees relationship management and business development efforts for the commercial lending team in the Sycamore, DeKalb, Genoa, Huntley, Hampshire, Antioch and Gurnee communities. He is located at the bank’s 1985 DeKalb Avenue branch in Sycamore and serves as a trusted financial advisor for commercial and ag banking customers.
Credentials
Landon earned a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Farm and Financial Management from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. He began his banking career as a credit analyst, advancing to agribusiness and credit approval roles. Landon has accumulated over 20 years of experience as a commercial/ag banker in DeKalb County. He has focused on establishing long-term relationships with customers and serving as a trusted advisor. Raised on a Christmas tree and grain farm, he continues to work a portion of his own land to stay current on agricultural trends and markets.

Passions
A DeKalb native, Landon makes his home in Sugar Grove with his wife, Colleen, and two children, Ansley and Corinne. His personal pursuits in the outdoors take him around the country. However, he favors mountain areas where he can set out on foot, bike or ATV. Landon also is an avid sports follower, with special affinity for the University of Illinois, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Green Bay Packers.
