Debit Card

More secure than cash or checks, our free Visa® Debit Card makes your life a little easier!

Deactivate Lost or Stolen Card

If you have lost your Heartland Bank card, or it has been stolen, the first thing you need to do is deactivate your card to protect your account. Please note, the card cannot be reactivated once it has been marked as lost or stolen.

Purchasing Power

Make purchases directly from your personal checking account anywhere Visa® is accepted*. Your Debit Card is accepted more readily than checks and saves you the hassle of carrying cash or your checkbook. You can track your spending and easily view transactions online and on your monthly checking account statement. Purchases are deducted directly from your checking account so there are no finance charges!

ATM Convenience

Use the card at any ATM to get cash, transfer funds, or obtain account information. Your Debit Card gives you 24/7 ATM access and we won’t charge a fee, even at non-Heartland Bank ATMs^!

Peace of Mind

Your card can be replaced quickly if lost or stolen. Please notify us when traveling or if purchasing online from a foreign country by contacting your local office or the Customer Care Center.

Instant Issue Capability

Some locations have debit card instant issue capability. Please call our Customer Care Team at (888) 897-2276 to find out which location is nearest to you.

Apply Now!

Your Heartland Bank Visa Debit Card is available with any Heartland Bank personal checking account. If you already have a checking account with us, simply contact a banker to complete an application. Once approved, you will receive your Heartland Bank Debit Card in the mail in a few days. Your PIN will be mailed separately a couple of days later.

If you don't have a personal checking account with us, please stop in to your local branch or apply online. We can open your new account and complete your Debit Card application at the same time!

Safety Tips for Using Your Debit Card

  • Do not write your Personal Identification Number on your card.

  • Be aware of who is around the ATM. If you observe someone who appears suspicious, use another location.

  • Have your card readily available for use when approaching the machine. This will help make your transaction faster and easier because you won’t waste time searching for your card.

  • Put money you have received from the ATM away immediately and count it later.

  • Do not let anyone see you enter your PIN.
