About Mark
Mark is a Wealth Advisor at Heartland Bank and Trust Company. He joined Heartland Bank in 2012 as a Relationship Banker and has progressed through several retail banking roles before moving into Wealth Management in 2024.
From Retail Banking to Wealth Management
Before Heartland, Mark worked in customer service roles and wanted a career with long-term growth and the chance to make a meaningful impact. He was drawn to banking because finances play such an important role in people’s lives—and Heartland’s size and culture made it the right fit to develop professionally while continuing to do what he enjoys most: helping others.
Professional Growth at Heartland
Mark says the Wealth Management team allows him to build trusted, one-on-one relationships and serve as a resource for clients. Heartland has also supported his continued development by covering the cost of his enrollment in Kaplan College for Financial Planning as he prepares for the CFP® exam. He credits his managers’ open-door approach and coaching mindset as a key part of his growth, along with their support for work/life balance.
