About Robyn
Bio
Robyn Alde brings extensive experience in banking, credit analysis and agribusiness to her role as a commercial lender, serving the Newark, Plano, Somonauk and Sandwich branches in the Illinois Valley region. Before becoming a commercial lender, she served as a portfolio manager and senior credit analyst at Heartland Bank, and has held roles as a commercial credit analyst, office manager and bookkeeper for her family’s grain and agribusiness operation, client advisor and teller. This background gives Robyn a strong understanding of a customer’s financial needs and a practical perspective on both commercial and agricultural lending.
As a commercial lender, Alde finds it rewarding to help customers access the financing they need to grow their businesses and pursue their goals. Her interest in lending began while studying finance at Northern Illinois University, where a course in microfinance and hands-on experience working with small business owners in Bucerías, Mexico, highlighted the impact that even small loans can have in helping entrepreneurs succeed.
Alde earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in social entrepreneurship from Northern Illinois University and an associate degree from Kishwaukee Community College. Originally from Stillman Valley, Illinois, she now lives near her family’s multigenerational grain farm in Shabbona, Illinois. Family and community are central to her life, and she enjoys coaching youth basketball, spending time with her relatives, quilting and sewing, crocheting, camping, hiking and traveling.
