Bio

Michael Wemple, vice president, wealth advisor and team leader for Heartland Bank and Trust Company’s northern region, joined the bank in 2015 and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, having held positions at both investment firms and banks. Michael works with clients to provide comprehensive wealth management strategies that include investment management accounts, financial planning and trust administration. In addition, he works with charitable organizations to provide investment management solutions for their endowment assets.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University, where he majored in finance and minored in economics. He currently holds the Series 7, 52, 63, 65 and 24 securities registrations as well as Life and Health insurance licenses. He was granted the designation of Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA®) in 2023.

In the community, Michael has volunteered his time to educate local high school students in DeKalb County through the Kishwaukee Education Consortium’s Senior Leadership Business Academy course. He has also assisted in delivering meals to the homebound for the Voluntary Action Center’s Meals on Wheels Program and participates in various local not-for-profits’ fundraising efforts.
