About Matt
Matt Slightom serves at Heartland Bank’s Carlinville branch, bringing extensive experience in finance and a strong connection to his community. He earned his degree in business administration with a specialization in finance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Slightom is actively involved in several local organizations, serving as a board member for Jerseyville Mutual Insurance, a member of the Carlinville FFA Alumni and chairman of the Carlinville Area Hospital Foundation. His community involvement reflects his commitment to supporting growth and success both within and beyond the bank.
“I’m passionate about walking alongside customers as they pursue their goals, helping transform aspirations into reality through thoughtful support, meaningful connections and unwavering dedication,” Slightom said.
Outside of work, Slightom enjoys farming with his family and spending his free time restoring vintage cars, trucks and tractors.
