About Matt

Bio

Matt Hunter, vice president, joined Heartland Bank and Trust Company in 2024 and has 10 years of industry experience. Matt leads the operations team for Heartland Bank’s Asset Management and Trust Services. His journey in finance has seen him serve as a mortgage lender and trust department head. Matt leverages his experience to improve operational efficiencies and enhance client experiences.

Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from Maranatha Baptist University and has since completed the Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School.

Matt and his wife, Alex, have three sons and reside in Normal. In his free time, Matt enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
