Bio

Jacob Schlipf, assistant vice president and farm manager at Heartland Bank and Trust Company, possesses 12 years of experience in farm management. Since joining the bank in 2013, Jacob has actively managed around 20,000 acres across more than 80 farms. He works closely with his clients to optimize farm assets and achieve their financial and operational goals through various lease arrangements, including cash rent, custom and crop-share agreements. Passionate about agriculture and farm management, Jacob takes great pride in helping clients navigate the complexities of the industry.

Jacob earned his Bachelor of Science in agricultural business from Illinois State University and earned the Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation in 2017. He is a licensed real estate broker and a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensed drone pilot. Jacob is active in the community as a member of the Bloomington Kiwanis Club.

Jacob resides in Bloomington with his wife, Mary. An avid outdoorsman, Jacob enjoys hiking, hunting or fishing in remote areas across North America.
