Monday, April 24, 2023Town and Country Bank / Peoples Prosperity Bank customers can bank at all Heartland Bank locations and have access to Heartland Bank's entire suite of products and services. Digital Banking is available using your current username and password. You will now be able to use your new Heartland Bank debit card.

The following are answers to a few questions you may have about the Town and Country Bank / Peoples Prosperity Bank merger with Heartland Bank and Trust Company.

Heartland Bank and Trust Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of HBT Financial Inc., headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois. The bank’s roots can be traced back to 1920 when M.B. Drake, grandfather of current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Fred Drake, helped found a community bank in Cornland, Illinois. Heartland Bank has grown organically and through the successful integration of more than a dozen community bank mergers. The bank has 61 banking locations.

Effective February 1, 2023, you will be a customer of Heartland Bank / State Bank of Lincoln. Your banking business continues as usual, using the same checks, debit card(s), credit card(s), and accounts.

You will be able to conduct your banking business at all Heartland Bank / State Bank of Lincoln locations beginning April 24, 2023. Until then, please continue to use your usual Town and Country Bank / Peoples Prosperity Bank branch location(s).

You will be able to conduct your banking business on the Heartland Bank / State Bank of Lincoln websites beginning April 24, 2023. Until then, please continue to use the Town and Country Bank / Peoples Prosperity Bank website.

Yes. You can use your debit card at all Heartland Bank and State Bank of Lincoln ATMs free of charge beginning February 1, 2023. ATM locations are available here.

Yes, your deposits will continue to be covered by FDIC insurance as they are now. The FDIC coverage per depositor per financial institution is $250,000.

Your deposits at both banks will be separately insured for at least six months after the merger. This grace period provides the opportunity to restructure the accounts, if desired.

Yes. Please continue to access your accounts as usual. You will receive more information about changes, if any, closer to the systems conversion in mid-April 2023.

Your account number will not change as the result of the February 1 merger. In the unlikely event your account number is a duplicate to an existing Heartland Bank / State Bank of Lincoln customer account number, we will contact you well in advance to assist you with any changes needed.

Town and Country Bank / Peoples Prosperity Bank checks will be processed as they always have.

Your direct deposit and / or automatic transfers will continue as usual.

Yes. Continue to bank as usual, accessing your accounts online or through Alvy+, the mobile app. On April 24, 2023, you will begin to use Heartland Bank’s digital banking services, much like you are used to today. Please visit our Online Banking Resource Page for more important information about this transition.

The terms of your Certificate of Deposit remain the same. For more information, please contact the Customer Service Solution Center at 1-866-770-3100 or refer to your account terms and conditions.

Heartland Bank will become the successor custodian of your IRA effective February 1, 2023. An updated plan agreement will be sent to you after the mid-April 2023 systems conversion.

There are no changes to your safe deposit box and you may still access it as usual.

Effective February 1, 2023, loan payments should be made payable to Heartland Bank and Trust Company.

By mail: Please mail your payments to the address listed on your billing notice or to Heartland Bank, P.O. Box 67, Bloomington, IL 61702-0067.

Automatic payments: Loan payments automatically debited from a checking account will continue as usual.

Online payments: Continue to make your payments as usual.

In branch: You can continue making your loan payment in person as usual.

Heartland Bank and Trust Company is a full-service financial institution. In addition to personal and business deposit and loan products, Heartland Bank offers Treasury Management for businesses, Wealth Management for financial planning, and Agricultural Services that support the farming industry.

In mid-March 2023, you will begin receiving detailed communications about what you can expect at the time of systems conversion.

Merger Information

On February 1, Town and Country Bank / People’s Prosperity Bank merged with Heartland Bank and Trust Company. Heartland Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of HBT Financial, Inc., headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois.

While Town and Country Bank / People's Prosperity Bank offices now operate as Heartland Bank branches, the merging of Town and Country / People’s Prosperity Bank data won’t occur until close of business on Friday, April 21. Please continue to use former Town and Country Bank branches and online services to conduct your business until after our systems conversion in April. At that time, all Heartland Bank offices and services will be available for your banking needs!

Over the next several months, you will begin to see the Heartland Bank name and logo, though you still may see and need to reference Town and Country Bank / Peoples Prosperity Bank until our systems are completely merged in April. This is because it takes time to successfully bring two banks’ systems together so you can take full advantage of additional products, services, and locations while still being part of the community banking experience you expect.

Town and Country Bank / Peoples Prosperity Bank and Heartland Bank have like-minded missions and values.   • Direct deposits and automatic payments will continue as scheduled.
  • Access accounts as usual through online and mobile banking.
  • Make loan payments payable to Heartland Bank beginning February 1, 2023.
