J. Burt, Wealth Advisor, works with high net worth individuals and families, including business owners and professionals, during the various stages of their financial lives.

As a financial professional for over 30 years, J. is committed to working with clients to help guide them to an improved financial position. J.’s priority is to take the time to listen, and then encourage clients to think and act on their financial goals. Financial strategies are customized for risk tolerance incorporated with purposeful asset intentions.

J.’s commitment to advanced career education provides clients with a valuable added benefit. J. is a Graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute Trust School. In July 2019 he earned the designation Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) from the American Bankers Association. With a strong background in insurance, he holds the widely recognized industry designations of CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. To better help his clients through the financial aspects of the aging process, in 2004 J. obtained the Lifetime designation of CLTC (Certified in Long Term Care). Professional organizations include the Society for Financial Professionals and the North Central Illinois Estate Planning Council. J. received a B.A. from Southern Illinois University in Radio-TV, with a minor in Political Science.

J. resides with his wife Linda in Spring Valley. Active in his community, he is President of the North Central Regional Betterment Coalition. During his 30-year membership in Illinois Valley Sunrise Rotary, he has served as President and Assistant District Governor. J. has been a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow for over 15 years and is a Past President of the Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.
