Greg Maher joined Heartland Bank and Trust in 2021 as Vice President, Commercial Banking. His primary responsibility is to drive revenue growth by cross-selling and expanding existing client relationships as well as through focused prospecting efforts. He works with businesses across many different industries allowing for a broad perspective, taking great pleasure in assisting clients address their financial needs, achieving their goals and objectives. One of Greg’s many passions is Affordable Housing, and his tenure at Heartland Bank has helped provide valuable knowledge and a better understanding of the complexities of the issue. Prior to joining the Bank, he held a similar role for 15 years with a regional bank based in St. Louis.
Greg attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Throughout his career, Greg has been actively engaged in community development and contributes to the O’Fallon Shiloh Chamber of Commerce through collaboration with local businesses and community leaders.
Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Megan, and their three children, Will, Jake, and Emily. He can usually be found at a sporting event cheering on his kids or at one of the several St. Louis sports teams.
