Marty Ahrends, CTFA, AFIM®, MBA
Marty Ahrends is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and Accredited Fiduciary Investment Manager (AFIM®). Prior to joining Heartland Bank and Trust Company in July 2014, Marty served 11 years as the Executive Director of the Abraham Lincoln Healthcare Foundation in Lincoln, where she assisted donors with charitable giving that incorporated financial planning, and oversaw growth of an endowment that reached $20 million. She was awarded the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2008, maintained it until 2016, and is still active with the Central Illinois Planned Giving Council.
Marty earned her MBA from the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business in 2015, and also holds B.S degrees in Agricultural Journalism and Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri. She is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute Trust School and Investment Management School, and the Illinois Agriculture Leadership Program Class of 2002.
Marty is a 21-year Rotarian. She is President-Elect of the Bloomington Rotary Club, Investment Officer of the Bloomington Rotary Foundation, Past President of the Lincoln Rotary Club, and a Paul Harris Fellow.
The Illinois Symphony Orchestra recently elected Marty to their Board of Directors. Her past board leadership included service on the Zion Lutheran School Parochial School Board, Lincoln & Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Logan County Economic Development Partnership. She has also devoted countless volunteer hours as a speech coach, Sunday school teacher, fine art fair coordinator and 4-H club leader in Logan County.
