Joe Panther joined the Heartland Bank Wealth Management Division in December 2016 as the Investments Specialist. He is responsible for the investment management of less complex accounts, initial research and due diligence on investment securities, and maintaining the accuracy of performance reporting.
Joe earned his M.A. in Financial Economics from Illinois State University in 2016. He also obtained two undergraduate degrees from Illinois State University, one in Finance and the other in Managerial Economics. He passed Level 1 of the CFA designation exam in December 2017.
Prior to joining Heartland Bank, Joe completed a summer internship with State Farm, served as a Graduate Assistant for the Economics Department, and worked for ISU Athletics for more than 3 years. He is currently teaching a microeconomics course at Illinois Central College.
Outside of the office, Joe coaches hockey with the local youth hockey program, the Bloomington Thunder. He is also the organization’s head goalie coach.
