Mortgage Application Checklist

Enjoy a smoother mortgage process by having the right paperwork ready!

Below is a checklist of important documents we’ll need from you and any co-borrowers if you are prequalified and want to get started with an application. We may need additional documents later in the process, if so we’ll let you know!

Necessary Documents:

  • A copy of the Purchase Agreement and all applicable disclosures
  • Last 30 days of paystubs showing year-to-date earnings
  • Last two W-2 forms
    W-2 forms are provided annually by your employer for tax purposes. A copy of your W-2 forms should be attached to previous tax returns.
  • Last two tax returns
    Complete personal federal income tax returns must be signed and include all schedules, such as K1s, 1099s, etc.
  • Last two months of complete bank statements for all financial accounts
    Complete bank statements include all pages, even blank ones. You will need to provide a letter explaining any non-automatic deposits or withdrawal.

If you are self-employed:

  • Last two years of complete business tax returns, including K1 forms
  • All documents listed above

If you are retired:

  • 1099 form for retirement/pension income
  • Last two months of bank statements showing ALL retirement/pension income deposited into the account(s).
