Search for Current Openings

Our careers site allows you to search openings by areas of interest or location.

Submit your Application

Once you find a job opportunity that interests you, select the Start Your Application button and complete the application. You will also be able to upload your Resume and Cover Letter. If you do not upload a resume, the recruiter may ask you to provide one. Applications are only accepted online.

After your initial submission, your application will be saved, and you will be able to login as a Returning Applicant.

Note: It is important that you register with a valid e-mail address as most correspondence from Heartland Bank will be sent to you via e-mail. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an email notification confirming it has been received. Be sure to check your junk or spam in the event it is sent there.

Application Evaluation

The Human Resources department evaluates all incoming applications against prerequisite abilities and skills set for all current openings.

Credit checks are run on all candidates that are being considered.

Phone Interview

A recruiter from Human Resources will contact the most qualified candidates by email to set up an initial phone interview at a later time. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete pre-employment testing at some point during the selection process.

Interview

The top candidates will be referred to the hiring manager, and may be invited to participate in a face-to-face interview.

Reference Checks

Top candidates will have references checked. It is important to list Professional References on the Job Application. References will be asked about their experiences working with you in some type of professional capacity.

Examples of professional references could be: supervisors, co-workers, teachers, coaches or someone you volunteered with.

Job Offer

The offer will be made by a recruiter. The recruiter will discuss wage, start date, training, and next steps of being welcomed to Heartland Bank.

Offer Accepted

If the background check results are acceptable, the hiring manager will contact you confirming your employment with Heartland Bank.
