This vulnerability affects specific versions of an extremely common encryption product known as OpenSSL, which is widely used on secure websites everywhere. Heartland Bank is aware of the situation and has confirmed its systems containing customer data and passwords were not vulnerable.
Your Heartland Bank customer information remains secure. As an extra precaution, we encourage you to change your passwords on all online services you use with Heartland Bank. We also encourage you to change your passwords on any other secure websites you use once you confirm those sites are not running or have patched any affected systems.
