At Heartland Bank we want to maximize our clients crop coverage at a minimal risk and at a reasonable price.

The costs of producing a crop have really increased over the last 10 years. Our exposure to net loss has increased right along with the increased cost of producing the grain crops.

The Federal Government has allocated specific funds to be used to pay for portions of the current crop insurance premiums. Including these premium subsidies, we are able to purchase a high rate of crop insurance coverage for a reasonable fee, thus assuring a level of income for our clients.

Heartland Bank uses a computer model to generate farm-by-farm crop insurance examples to assist with our final decisions and follows these examples for our insurance purchases on each farm.
